sister

We should consider ourselves happy to have time. Time for staying up late or waking up early, time for conversations, time to learn, time to pass on what we’ve learned. Time that belongs to God. Yesterday when we were saying goodbyes to the Dominican nuns, thanking for their time, sister Mārīte told us:

“Well, the time doesn’t belong to us, it’s God’s. And I’m starting to realize and accept it just now. ” – She has been serving in the Convent for 20 years now. She is a missionary – goes wherever she’s needed and she had spent the last 8 months before this Summer in Ukraine.

I had the chance to spend almost 5 hours with her while David was in St. Trinity’s church taking pictures.

5 Hours – is it a lot or just a moment? It felt like a day or two.
