An opportunity like this appears only if you ask for it. On Friday night I went down to the circus with an idea to arrange an interview – just a short interview before or after the show on Saturday. Signs on the tent had three prohibitions: No food, no dogs, no cameras.

After asking around I was introduced to the circus manager / or the Ringmaster as they call it abroad / – a young man called Gabriel Got.

He politely agreed and asked if we could specify the details on phone in the morning.
 – I’ve had an idea to buy a ticket to the show since the interview was afterwards, but David said: “Just ask him. The worst thing he can say is No.”

… I got in for free, got a permission to take pictures and film inside of the tent.

It is so nice to have a tutor like David around – one who has done these things before, one who encourages and, khm, well, supports with equipment.
